"A great Reformer studio, in a really lovely space. The beginners class was good for people all abilities, making everyone feel at ease and confident. Anna was brilliant at explaining the exercises and helping with injuries and giving adjustments on form."

What is Reformer Pilates?

Reformer Pilates is a form of exercise that uses a special machine called a Reformer. This machine has a sliding platform and springs that provide resistance. The exercises help improve strength, flexibility, and balance. It’s great for toning the body, improving posture, and is gentle on the joints. It’s suitable for both beginners and those who are more experienced with fitness.

What should I wear to a Reformer Pilates class?

Wear comfortable, form-fitting clothing that allows you to move freely without getting caught in the machine. You need to wear socks (we sell some grippy socks at the studio).

How often should I attend Reformer Pilates classes to see results?

Attending classes 2-3 times a week is recommended for visible results and improved strength and flexibility.

What are the main differences between Mat Pilates and Reformer Pilates?

Mat Pilates uses your body weight for resistance, while Reformer Pilates uses springs on the machine to provide resistance and support, allowing for a wider variety of exercises. Reformer Pilates is suitable for everyone, no matter what age or size.

Will Reformer Pilates help with weight loss?

Reformer Pilates can aid in weight loss by increasing muscle tone and metabolism, but should be combined with cardiovascular exercise and a balanced diet for best results.
